This video was produced by taking timelapse videos of mushrooms growing and then processing them to reference cosmic and alien concepts. I find mushrooms particularly perfect subjects both in concept and in form, especially their growth patterns and this video is an homage to that.
The clips were actually rendered more than a year before I assembled the video as part of a still unfinished project called "Stranger Aeons" but didn't satisfy what I was trying to do with the project. Those rendering efforts incidentally also produced some of the clips for Primaterium and They Move Below.
The music was done more or less on-the-fly through a few different processes, including synth loops, a lot of effects and reversals and live guitar overdubs. I was trying to create something spacey and multidimensional to support the visuals.
