First Video in 6 Months!

I can’t believe it’s been half a year since I published a new original video to my channel. That’s way too long. I’ve written a bit about what’s been taking my attention for the past few months, but even before my job search and all the things related, there’ve been apparently too many things competing for my attention.
So it is with great relief, to me, that I’ve been able to put a new experience out there: XO (Psy Love U). As I describe more on my XO page, the video was produced opportunistically by leveraging near unlimited access to Veo3 the day before I left my job.
I wish I realized much earlier that I had essentially unlimited Veo3 access via an internal labs tool at work, as I probably would have leveraged it much more heavily. Though it may be for the best as there’s plenty of people abusing that system for somewhat meh content.
Here’s a fun fact though: The only other thing I have ever used Veo3 for was a series of rather silly short videos I created for an internal trivia gameshow at work called “Fun Fact Time” that I produced for my team as a 5 minute closer for a weekly sync meeting. I have collected these in an unlisted YouTube playlist for these videos for posterity. Most of these videos were the result of 1-2 hours each of production, and some are much sloppier than others.

The whole thing started off as me generating a theme song for Fun Fact Time and then spiraled out of control week after week trying to one-up myself. I’m pleased to report that before I left, someone very awesome at work took on the responsibility of continuing the effort of hosting the trivia game and producing silly corresponding Fun Fact Time media. Hopefully it shall be my lasting legacy at my former employer even after all the code I’ve written is eventually replaced by AI.
I’m looking forward to releasing new videos before too long, but I will be using the next month to really ramp up on my new job, which I start next week and hope to be able to talk about soon too.
